What kind of High Performance Oil is everyone using for the Xb? Im lookin to go high performance oil just need some feedback on what kind and what brand. Thanx
you would be fine using a full synthetic, i use mobil 1 i know some are using royal purple
I have always used Mobile 1 Synthetic...
i too use Mobil 1. 10w 30
Castrol GTX!
Just switched at 25000 to full synthetic Mobil 1 (5w30)
i like royal purple 5w30
which one is the best oil? I'm on Pensoil...not sure which one but thats what brand lol
IMO there is no other oil than Mobil 1. i see a lot of people running 5w30 and if im not misten thats what scion recommends but i just have always ran 10w30. no scientific reason, its just always worked for me... i ran it in my Supercharged Mustang 5.0 lx and i run it in my nearly stock 1.5L xB. just one of those things i guess...

but to be honest i just started running Fully Synthetic Mobil 1 in the box. before i would just put in whatever was on sale. Mobil 1 is definately kinda pricey
yea, I heard it was a great oil and very pricey. When I need my next change i'll put that stuff in and see how it runs. Thanks Smile
anytime sport!

Unless they changed in the last few years, Pennzoil and Quaker State are parafin based oils, which tend to cause sludge formation.
Castrol, Valvoline and Havolin are mineral based.

I'm really wanting to try the Royal Puple. God knows them people on powerblock TV put it in everything!

I use Royal Purple and it is the shizznittle-bam-bittle!
I love your aviator hahahaha
Royal Purple is the clear leader in the Synthetic market, but any synthetic oil for my box is too expensive. I have yet to see a clear advantage of a car driven with synthetic over standard oil.
