I am running 17X7 Center Line Wheels and want to get a nice drop out of her without scrubbing. What do you suggest?
Thanks!
Photo note: The BOP BOX is the front end sticking out (first xB showing).
Tien STechs. I'm running that drop with 18s and 215/35R18s and have just as much turning radius as I did before. Now when I switch to Echo shocks that'll probably go away. lol
sorry i dont know anything about springs. but i like those wheels tho.
I was running the Eibach Sportline springs at one time . Nice drop - just a tad over 2". Gave the xb a nice look.
i am running eibachs right now nice drop like moonray said lil more than 2in
here is some pics to show the difference
before

after

s-techs FTW! unless you got money and want to go with coils.
Here is a pic of my BOP when I had s-techs and 17s

heres mine...with rims 17x7 215/40 Falkens, 10mm rear spacers and a full sub enclosure in the rear

and stock...no subs

Very nice. What will the Echo shocks do to the profile? Does it drop it even more? And what about the comfort factor...better or worse?

Thanks, my friend!
I always ran Center Line Wheels on my GM muscle cars and decided to bring a bit of "old school" branding to the BOP BOX!!

Are these a smooth ride with the bumbs?

That is a sweet box! Do you like these springs when it comes to to comfort? Mine is a daily driver, so I am really wanting the look of the drop but the feel / freedom of the stocks. I guess you could say...I want to have my cake and eat it too.? LOL
That is why it is taking so long to drop it. I can't decide what springs to go with.

This has been the biggest spring suggested to me. Coils are not in reach at the moment. But your advice is sound and much appreciated!

Very Sharp Ride! I was told that the drop will make it stiffer and I will feel all the bumbs. Do you agree?

Sweetness!
I have rear spacers as well...but I do not know if they are 10mm or a bit less? I need to look that up!
Thanks so much for all the excellent advice!
Hey James, glad to hear from you again
As for a drop. I can vouch for Eibach springs. I am a HUGE fan of Eibach and those will be the springs I put on my ride. I have ridden in a box with a Prokit installed and it was just as smooth as stock.
Whatever you choose, just remember that you will probably need a camber kit and definitely an alignment.
It rides a little better than you would expect it to with the drop. We don't have the worlds best ride quality with our boxes. Echo shocks supposedly give it another inch drop all the way around, making it a total of about 3 inches.
^ I don't believe the echo shocks lower the back any, just the fronts. I could be wrong though.

i ran the s-tech + Echo setup for about a year.
you get en extra 1/2 with the Echo struts because the lower perch that holds the spring is 1/2" lower on the housing.
the Echo shocks for the rear do not lower it any more but do help and soften the ride a bit.
the ride was great except when i went over a real hard bump.
i swithed over to Tein ss+p coilovers a few month ago and love them.

The Echo struts will give you another 1/2" drop in the front only...I have them on mine.
Tein S-Techs FTW
as far as rubbing, that depends on your tire size and wheel offset. 205/40/17 and between 15 & 42 ET you should be good.
