So this happened awhile back and I was too pissed to post about it at the time but now I just laugh about it. Well to start off I got in an accident a few months back.
My original accident thread

So I find a replacement bumper and had bought a Courageous lip for pretty cheap. I get them painted, thanks to Padanky, and we put them back on. I was soo happy seeing the Iron Lion back together looking better than before. Here are some pics:

Then, less than a week after getting it back together, coming home from work I hit a damn piece of tire tread and bam the new lip bent back under my xB. Luckily it didn't damage the new front bumper, but it was a pretty sh!tty day cuz after that happened I had to sit in 2 1/2 hours of traffic only to curb check my only non-curbed wheel on a damn corner trying to get home. So you can understand why I didn't post anything about it then, lol.

So I was lucky enough that the lip breaking from the bumper didn't damage it too bad and I was able to get the stock lip back on for now.
Ouch! Sad

Hate to see that.

Just run the stock lip for a while - no need to tempt fate real soon...
Yeah I'll be runnin' stock till I either A) get a cheap junker to drive to work, or B) move closer to work.
Wow, not that truly sucks right there. That's the worst part about a lowered car. I want to lower my car sooooo bad, but I'm afraid that after I do, I'll be scraping everywhere because of the area I drive in.
I wasn't bad till a switched to a thinner tire which sits much lower.
Damn Rob...that just sux ass! I know you'll get it back together quickly though.
I guess in some ways, Rob, that's an advantage I have in coming to the xB from a long line of 4X4s (mostly Land Cruisers...): I don't have a problem with not "filling" the wheelwells and not being low enough - in fact, my xB actually has 7 inches of ground clearance because of the slightly over-tall BFG Traction T/A tires it runs on it's five-spoke wheels.

For me it looks right, for the lower is better folks it probably looks like a lumber loader... Tongue

(Of course Vanilla can still get slapped across the face by flying treads (as she did on her recent trip to Montana). Sad

Too bad we can't just buy pre-painted front-end pieces to just replace the broken/scarred ones and be done with it, instead of having to go the whole body-shop route...
Wow! Sorry that happened, but like you said its a good thing it didn't ruin your new bumper. Its cheaper to replace a lip than a bumper lol.
ouch man!
Damn man that sucks! That was a sick lookin front lip too!!!
i agree that lip was BA

Well glad to hear that you were not injured. Sucks for the xB but really I would say most of us bought them to drive and that's going to happen. Take Care of yourself.
