ok, so you have already cleared you corner lens by removing that ugly amber reflector.
now its time to complete that look by getting rid of that amber booger.

here is what i started with




remove this socket with a little less then a 1/4 turn and pull out



well.......... there you go, this is your problem
push down a little and do the same 1/4 turn and pull out



here are the new bulbs im going to put in
they are Chrome 1157 bulbs from XenonMods.com , i got them off ebay for about $12 shipped

these bulbs are better then the Silver Stars because thease don't show any color (when off) at all


now the bulbs will only fit in one way so its impossible to put them in wrong, push them in and do the same 1/4 turn again and you will feel them lock in place. if you have them in wrong you won't be able to turn them.



put the socket back into the housing and do that 1/4 turn again, and once again you can't put them in the wrong way.

now your box has a very sharp "true" clean look.

looks good man, but now you need silverstars in your HLs so that they dont have a blue tinge to them... i have silverstar corners and i kinda like the little blue that they give, but those look real good too

ive got the 85k HLs and i love them, i just didn't want the amber in my corner lens

Very nice mod and one of the first ones I did, mainly cuz it was cheap, lol. I like the blue tint of my ss cuz it matches the blue LED's in the HL's. Although I do like chrome and those look supa clean.

Nice look, I cleared out the ugly amber housing, picking out some bulbs, would you prefer the Chrome/Amber like you have or Chrome/Xenon? I was looking at both and though AMber's the color of a turn signal I thought the Xenon ones looked pretty sweet.

i did the chrome and hyper yellow i found at a store near my house... ss are illegal in california now..... gotta love that gov we got

i would definately go chrome/amber. i always try to maintain as much legality as i can while getting the look im going for. since the color of the bulb when off is more important to me than when on, i would stick with legal in this case.

now, thats not saying that my car is legal by any means. the 5% tint all the way around is illegal in just about every state.

i'm running the chrome/amber silverstars look great

Thats why when I had to chance to move and get someone else to pay for it I hauled ass and have never looked back!

I got 20% fronts, 5% backs (legal is 35%) and the cops/sheriff in this county don't even look at me twice...hell, they don't even give my windshield a second glance.

yeah, your windshield would atract all sorts of attention in california.
