i have seen someone put a v8 in the 1st gen.
what id like to see is a mid mount, were the tail of the trans bolts right to the diff.

Totally agree! I've been saying for a couple years now. Mid-engine Northstar....oh yeah baby..that would be the shiznit fer sure.
i wouldn't pic the Northstar to use.
maybe an LS1 or LS6.
Northstars are crap and a pain to work on, plus the trans is a joke too.
sorry a realy don't like anything about caddys, never have.
