Hey I got a 06 XB with an auto tranny. My problem I have is that it shifts out of 3rd and kinda skips forth and goes right into OD. Anyone else have this problem? Is there an adjustment for that? BTW when I take OD off it just stays in 3rd gear. I know that OD just locks you converter but it should shift into 4th then right? any help would be appreciated, Thanks Love my box.
well, first thing is this. you only have 4 gears. so, youre not skipping anything, but in fact, going straight into OD which is 4th. and when you take OD off, you are just assuring that you will never shift out of 3rd.
One thing with the Autos too is when the engine is cold it will stay in 3rd until the engine warms up. You will see a blue temp light on then off when warmed up...
oh yeah, i forgot about that. my girl used to hate that. hehe. ill have to ask her if the xB2 does that too.

Yep, only 4 forward gears. And the slipping is normal for any car when it's cold. Once the engine warms then it should go away. If it doesn't, take it back to the dealer.

Is it really slipping or just going into lock-up quickly? Slipping is not normal for any auto trans...hot or cold.
like everyone said. i think it just jerks at times when its cold and it struggles. i havent used my od button for many years too coz i hadto cut it for my "hand" shifter. i miss you od button. lol. perfect solution to warm your car up is that "auto start" gizmo. a bit pricey but really helpful when its cold outside, nothing like going in a nice warm car. merry christmas.
Yup, four forward only, both 3 and 4 have lockup.
I always let my car warm up before I start driving. It drives me nuts when I take off and its still cold and takes forever to shift! lol. I didn't realize we only go up to 4th gear...which is overdrive. That sucks, but its all good. lol

Well jeez Heinz...you can put an OD button anywhere...just run the cut wires to a remote mounted switch and you're set.
