Towing the XB??? - bora12 - 02-08-2010 01:08 PM So I am buying my brother's 2005 BCP when I return from deployment. Only problem is getting it from Florida to Virginia. I am driving my 2006 Tacoma home on leave and then will tow the XB back up to Virginia. My questions: If I remove the rear bumper cover will I be able to tow it using a tow dolly, or will it still be necessary to put it on a trailer? I am hoping to use a dolly as it will save money and weight. The uhaul trailer weighs 2000 Lbs and the dolly weighs only 750 Lbs. Thanks in advance. Gary RE: Towing the XB??? - SWARTZAUTOMAN - 02-08-2010 01:15 PM you should be ok RE: Towing the XB??? - Douche - 03-09-2010 11:39 AM I towed mine from FL to Virginia (crazy right? I know!) I used a flat bed trailer. It was a major pain in the butt getting it on and off of that thing. I dont think you will need to remove the rear bumper, at most the rear skirt just to keep aerodynamics from ripping it off, but i dont think you are going to run into any problems. I could be wrong though. PS: where in VA are you living or moving to? I live in Charlottesville. |
