Well thanks to Hurricane Ike I ended up getting laid off w/ the other 3000+ UTMB employees.
Oh well sh!t happens, I'm currently working on getting a replacement job and UTMB is paying me for another 2 months while I look. It just sucks cuz my job was soo awesome and I'll probably never come across another job like that. I don't any other job that will let me have 3 22" monitors as my desktop, lol.
Looks like I'm going to have to clean out the stockpiled xB parts in the garage.

Yeah I'm looking around and have a few friends trying to pull favors but nothing solid yet. Luckily I'm still getting paid by UTMB until mid Jan. so hopefully I can find something before then that won't require me to move.

ok..this really sucks ass. I was sharpening my big chef's knive this morning and cut my damn right thumb...bad. If that wasn't bad enough I ended up slicing a nice chunk out of my left 4th finger. I hadn't cut myself with a knife in 20 some years. This is really making typing a bitch.

that makes me think of my dad, hes a real Tim Tayler, just ask my brother.
he sliced threw the main tendin on the back of his thumb that goes tward the wrist with a stake knife. i think he ended up having like 3 serguries to get it fixed, the last one involving replacing it with a tendin from his leg.

i finally installed the AVIC-N2 that ive had sitting in the closet. my pop got a double din and gave me his old flip screen. all the wires and extra modules and junk intimidated me so i just let it sit... finally decided to break it out and about an hour later, i have in-dash DVD. so needless to say, im stoked!

Very nice. I would love to have an indash screen again.

would love to have big in dash screen that has gps and internet connection!
