RE: Springs or Air?
I have a stock ride. Last summer I was sitting next to another xb at a cruise that was lowered 1 1/2" all around. His car didn't look lowered mine looked raised.
I have a 60 mile drive everyday is there a set of springs that will lower the car without the huge change in the way that it drives?

You have a 1st gen I assume since you posted in here, so I'd say go w/ the TRD, tein H techs, or Tanabe NF210's for a mild less than 2" drop. Or tein s techs, tanabe DF210's, Progress tech, goldlines, and a few more for a 2" drop.

Running Air...EasyStreet Front and Back setup with 2 Firestone 3 gallon tanks and 3/8 line and valves. So far I have put over 10,000 miles on the system and love it.

I'm running an 18x7 and they tuck the entire 35 series tire and just a little bit of the wheel lip. This is also running the One Ton Garage rear spacers and I had to space the front fender out about an 1/8 of an inch to make room.
NOTE: The wheels were custom made to measurments taken from my xB so I can't say a "regular" 18x7 would do the same.

RE: Springs or Air?
i would suggest air if ur going to put a kit on it, i had to hit some trash in the raod the other night.
ok so im just cruising minidng my own business and the car in front of me not too close and i see under their car coming this white trach bag that looks like it got something big and hard in it, no chance to move bec ppl all around me i had to just suck it up and hope i clear it, nope not a chance, i hear it hit the front bumper and scrape everything from there back. hoping i didnt hav much damage, when i get to where im going i fing out that it nearly ripped off the bottom part of the back bumper, i almost died.
and since it was kinda on the side it bend the plastic so on the side just under the tail it stickes out about 1/8 of an inch.
luckily there isnt really that much damage hopefully the plastic will bend back a lil over time, and i fixed the bumper so it looks normal.
so all in all go air, i dont even hav a kit and i still hav trouble with somehtings

I remember hitting a tire going 70 on the interstate. My car went flying.

RE: Springs or Air?
That to me is the main point in air, to protect your investment, if you would have had air and good reflexes you could have jacked it up in time... or just rode with it higher...

Speed Racer that is funny. I'm old enough to remember seeing it as a kid and my kids are too young to know what I am talking about so I bought the first three seasons on DVD now they love it and can't wait for the movie to come out.

RE: Springs or Air?
Let me say this, having air is kool but does come at a cost. More maintenance, possible freak problems at the wrong time. A good set of drop spring and shocks pretty much maintenance free.
