RE: The Frozen xB
I have had the Ice Storms each of the last 2 years here in Pittsburgh, PA. The worst part is I live on a steep hill, but surprisingly in xB seems to be one of the better cars that I have drove in the winter. Handles quite well in the snow and ice.

RE: The Frozen xB
The xB does handle very respectably in snow and ice, it is the others out there that worry me the most... Especially the massive number of idiots that do not realize that four-wheel-drive may help them accelerate better, but doesn't really help them turn or stop...
They just end up going faster when they crash, and I don't want them crashing into me.
(I've had six Land Cruisers, two Jeeps, and an Explorer - I've driven 4X4s since 1973...)

I've had cars like that, that's crazy. My sister's in Maryland and while down there last winter, they had flurries and declared a state of emergency! I'll be down at my brother's this summer, he lives in Norfolk.
Any who, up here in NY, it gets a LOT thicker and colder! About 3 weeks ago when we had a bigger snow, I defrosted the box out minus the layer on the roof. Well coming out of a parking lot on a down hill the top of the roof directly under the snow melted the whole layer, and the entire sheet of ice/snow slid right over the windshield, bounced off the hood and onto the road, funniest thing I ever saw!

Funny how i saw that picture and commented on it because just last night here in Binghamton, NY, we had an ice storm and my box looked exactly like yours did in that picture! All schools and after school activities were closed today! Ah how I miss my high school days and getting days off!
