The story of the TF3

Congrats to our latest featured ride brought to you by Toolman. It's great to see someone so involved with their car, and it being a family project at the same time. It's hard to put family first when you have an xB, but Tim has shown us all that our little boxes can be enjoyed by all.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Since this is a family project I asked my son Chris aka: Monkey Boy to tell the story about the car. This is what he wrote.

My dad has a Shadow Mica 2006 ½ Scion xB, with over 2000 L.E.D.s under, in, and
around it. He bought it a month after my mom died so that he could get to and
from work without going bankrupt. I remember when we went car shopping; my
sister and I thought that the xB was the ugliest car ever. After getting in,
though, we saw how roomy it was and wanted to buy it. We've done a bunch of
stuff to it since then, like putting flames on it, to getting the dual DVD
player in the back seat. I don't really remember why we started going to car
shows and stuff, but we all have our own job. My sister does the detail
cleaning, Dad does the over-all cleaning, and I set up the die cast xBs w have.
(We have about 10 or 11 now.)

MODS:
A whole bunch of lights: underbody kit with 7 different colored L.E.D.s with a
keychain remote, same thing in the pockets of the doors, under the seats, and
under the dash, a self adhesive L.E.D. strip under strut bar in engine, various
lights in engine compartment.
Strut bar
One dual DVD player in backseat that can play two different DVDs on four
screens strapped to the head rests (That isn't really a mod, though, since the
screens strap onto the headrests)
Two cigarette lighter things in backseat (One for me, one for my sister)
Table that folds out of back (Hard to describe, but fear not, we have pictures)
Now that I think of it, lights aren't really a mod, but whatever..
Flame decal down the sides (Again, not really a mode)
One cigarette lighter behind steering wheel for ipod
Short ram air intake
35% window tint on the 35% tinted windows behind Dad (12 ½ % of the light
comes through the windows)
Vent visors

Dealer options:
Floor mats
Fog Lights
Six CD changer and radio
L.E.D.s in cup holder and under dash
TYC taillights
Rear bumper applique
Seven spoke aluminum wheels
Armrest
Spoiler
Yakima roof rack that can hold three bikes or two bikes and a rack for the tent and chairs

RE: The story of the TF3

Thanks for the props guys. Most of the lights are under the car and we are trying to figure out how to do more.

I forgot to mention about the name TF3, it means "Taxi for 3"

RE: The story of the TF3

Amazing. It's so nice to see a family get involved in a project. It's part of what keeps families harmonious. Props to the father for not only facing a difficult situation, but for helping the gets move on by getting them involved in a project. Makes me proud to be an American.
