To me it is not really about the speed or the horsepower increase, which was about 45 hp, it is about having something that no one has seen before. I know that when I go to shows this year there will be lots of talk about a boosted xB because it is different and no one expects it to be done. An I would have to say as of now, including a new clutch, I am still under my budget of $2500.

i respect this way of thought. i do not agree with people that boost a box just to make her fast. unless you do like that one cat did and drop a fat motor in, the xb will always be what it is... 1.5L's of nothing to brag about.
however i have never complained about the lil putter that we have for motors. i find it easy to cruise at 80-90...

I agree that there is no point in trying to make our boxes 1.5 "fast" by any means, because without lots of money and time, it isn't possible. If I wanted fast, I would have bought a 240sx and built a motor for it. Our 1.5 may not be anything to brag about, but they do as you and Peej say, get around just fine.

With me, I have never had a fast car. Actually, this car is faster than my first one, and i'm actually happy with this speed...its all i've had haha. One day I will own a super fast car, as of right now, i'm content with this. I know if I had a faster car, i'd get into some trouble

I've seen this in person and I have to say Brandon has a done a great job on installing this and it looks great. He's the only one of our group or pretty much in our area w/ a boosted box.
Maybe one day I'll get around to boosting w/ a supercharger or turbo, but probably when the box isn't my daily driver.

Ya man I might have to get some info from you as where to get the parts, what to buy etc. I'm really interested in doing this. And I agree with Peej. It looks really nice, really clean install.

RE: Turbo'd xB
There's a guy on cardomain, clubxb, showoffcars.com, and a couple others that I can't think of at the moment, that had a shop put in his turbo WITH KEEPING HIS AUTOMATIC TRANS. effin' craziness! His user name is usually enuf2spare or something close to that. On cardomain it's toybx. It's got double lambo doors which is pretty cool, tho I hate lambos in general.
