RE: Ugly or Not?
It could have used a different name, but I think Scion did so well with the xB name that they couldn't afford to give it up. I mean, they created an icon... why not continue with a good thing?
You Gen1 purists crack me up.

RE: Ugly or Not?
I love it!! I used to own only SUV's, but decided to get the xB2 because it was so much fun to drive and saves on gas.

RE: Ugly or Not?
Yep, definitely saves on gas compared to an SUV. My old explorer was getting about 14-16mpg. It was killing me.

I don't know. I just like the 1st gen better. Yeah the 1st gen might be a little off, but that is why I like it. The 2nd gen looks like everything else out there. The boxieness of the 1st gen set it apart and that is why i am sticking with GEN 1!!!

RE: Ugly or Not?
if the new one came factory with the 5 axis body kit, then yes, I would be in love with it, but soon as I saw it without it I changed my mind and couldnt bring myself to let go of my box

Wow, seems like Five Axis was the deciding factor for many people.

RE: Ugly or Not?
I don't really see why, I guess.
It looks fine without it. And some of us in wintry climates like the extra ground clearance that the 2Gen's front bumper has.

RE: Ugly or Not?
Honestly, I would love to have a 2gen.
I was so close to getting one.
But I love my box, even if it was used.
However, if I had to do it over again, I'd go xB2.
Sorry guys.
My box is beautiful.
That is all.

RE: Ugly or Not?
Well, I bought my box, and it already was lowered, and had someother mods done, so I don't get the full experience.
But I'll take it, saves me some money...

RE: Ugly or Not?
Bought mine the year I graduated from HS, and its from my graduating year of 2006 too, brand new, went in the dealership after a couple months of working and asked them if they had a 2006 brand new BSP automatic for sale, the guy that I was talking to said "no, we don't have any here, but we could order one for you". With the "scion guy" listening in on our conversation, he promptly walked over and corrected him saying that one was just dropped outback within a few hours ago and was just pulled off the truck. He was correct, I was the first person to drive my box and so far have been the only one. This is the reason that I could never bring myself to get a new box, this thing is my baby XD

RE: Ugly or Not?
i will admit when the xB first came out in 04 i hated it, but then i started seeing some that had a few mods to them and it changed my mind drastically
i agree that scion should hav put a differnt name on the gen 2, i like them but only after light mods they def need to be dropped, 2-3in would do wonders, i wish i owned both tho they are 2 different worlds brought together by scion

RE: Ugly or Not?
I'm sure if the release 5.0 was the five axis version, it would sell like madness.
