RE: Weapon R intake manifold

i believe it reduces friction and resistance in the intake portion, allowing more air to enter the combustion chambers. Anyone correct me if im wrong.

I can not believe that this will give our motors a 33% gain...

Hey, it's easier to point the finger than admitting it...

RE: Weapon R intake manifold

it sorta does the same as a set of headers would, except in the opposite direction. Whereas headers open up the ports for exhaust gas to exit more freely and quicker, an intake manifold lets a CAI move air into each cylinder quicker, thus making a bigger compression ratio.

As for the 33% gain, I agree, it may LOOK like it should be a 33% gain, but I mean c'mon...we've all seen the advertisements for Tornados and CAIs that say close to that exact same thing, but in reality, they don't do a damn thing but make an awesome WHOOOOSH noise when you shut the car off. lol

RE: Weapon R intake manifold

Probably not as good as they say, but it makes a difference yes. As other people have said, the faster you can get air in and out of our little four cylinders, the more performance you get. Similar to an intake, headers, or exhaust.

RE: Weapon R intake manifold

That piece of metal could not possibly add 30HP's to the car. I/H/E add a max of 10hp's.
